Steffi Kindt (* 7. March 1973 ) is a former German cross-country skier and biathlete .
In 1994 she had her greatest successes in cross-country skiing. She became German champion over 10 km and third over 20 km. The year before she had already won the 30 km. In 1992, 1993 and 1994 she also became German champion over 3 × 5 km for club relays together with Manuela Henkel and Katrin Apel , and in 1994 with the Thuringian national relay with Katrin Apel, Manuela Oschmann , Constanze Blum and Steffi Kindt. At the European Cup races in 1993 and 1994 she was able to achieve a total of six top ten places, in Furtwangen in February 1994 she even managed to jump on the podium in third place over 15 km.
From 1995 she switched to biathlon and in her first season was able to achieve second place overall in the European Cup behind Sylvia Kaden and ahead of Katrin Apel. In 1998 she repeated this success, this time only beaten by three points by Russian Julija Dykanjuk , but ahead of Janet Klein and Andrea Henkel .
At the European Championships in 1997 in Windischgarsten , she won her second European Championship medal with Katja Beer and Janet Klein with silver, and in 1995 she was bronze with Kathi Schwaab and Martina Zellner .
From 1996 to 1998 Steffi Kindt started in the World Cup and qualified for the 1997 World Championships with good results . In Osrblie she started in the team race and reached 13th place. Her best result and only top ten result in the World Cup was achieved in 1996 with eighth place in the sprint in Osrblie. In the overall ranking she reached 41st place in 1995/1996 , and 47th place in 1997/1998 .
After the 1998 season, Steffi Kindt went to the USA at the University of Alaska Anchorage . For the local ski team, she competed at the NCAA Skiing Championships, among others .
