Constanze Blum, who started for the SC Motor Zella-Mehlis , took part in the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano in all four individual disciplines as well as in the 4 × 5 km relay race. Her best placings were 21st place over 15 km classic and fifth place with the relay. She made her debut in the World Cup on January 16, 1993 in Cogne , which she finished in 44th place over 10 km freestyle. She achieved her best individual result in the World Cup in March 1995 in Sapporo with sixth place in the 15 km freestyle and her best overall result in the 1996/97 season with 27th place in the overall World Cup. She completed her 65th and last individual World Cup race in December 2000 in Brusson , which she finished classically in 37th place over 10 km. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1995 in Thunder Bay she took 57th place over 5 km classic, 35th place in pursuit and 17th place over 30 km freestyle and at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1999 in Ramsau am Dachstein, 24th place 30 km classic and 23rd place over 15 km freestyle. Her best placings at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Trondheim in 1997 were 22nd place over 15 km freestyle and sixth place with the relay. In 1998 she won the German championships over 5 km, in the pursuit and over 30 km. She also won six times with the Thuringia national relay (1993-1997, 1999).
