Julius Döring
Julius Döring (born August 31, 1818 in Dresden , Kingdom of Saxony ; † September 26, 1898 in Mitau , Russian Empire ) was a Baltic German painter .
Döring attended the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts . From 1838 he was trained there by Eduard Bendemann as a portrait and history painter.
From 1860 he worked as a librarian at the Courland Provincial Museum.
archeology
Döring carried out on April 14, 1866 together with August Bielenstein , Edmund Carl Julius Krüger , Ernst August von Raison , and other excavations in Tērvete (Hofzumberge) and Svētais kalns (Heiligenberg).
