Julius Kaljo (* December 22, 1909 July / January 4,  1910 reg. In Reval , Estonia Governorate ; † May 12, 1954 ibid) was an Estonian football player .

Career

Julius Kaljo played in his active football career for the Estonian capital city clubs Tallinna JK , JS Estonia Tallinn , SK Tallinna Sport and Esta Tallinn . In the seasons 1929 , 1933 and 1934 the middle runner and his clubs were each runner-up in the Estonian football championship .

In June 1931 Kaljo made his debut in the Estonian national team against Finland . With the national team Kaljo took part in the Baltic Cup four times in the 1930s . In addition to appearances in these tournaments, Kaljo completed qualifying games for the upcoming 1938 World Cup against Sweden , Finland and Germany .

For Estonia Julius Kaljo came to a total of 16 missions between 1931 and 1938, in which he scored two goals.

During World War II he was drafted into the Red Army .
