Julius Kell

Karl Julius Kell (born May 2, 1813 in Pappendorf ; † May 28, 1849 in Dresden ) was a Saxon educator and author .

Life

After studying in Leipzig, he became rector in Kirchberg in 1838 , but had to give up the teaching post for health reasons. He later lived as a magazine editor in Leipzig .

With his commitment to a liberal elementary school, Kell was considered the Saxon Diesterweg . In 1913, his work was recognized with pathetic words in the educational magazine Die deutsche Schule by Alfred Leuschke.

The Schulmann, elected to parliament at the end of 1848 , became famous through a winged word uttered in the Second Chamber of the Saxon State Parliament on February 12, 1849: I don't know the reasons (of the government), but I have to disapprove .

Kell published a number of popular books.
