Julius Pollack
Julius Pollack (* 1832 in Neuberun , † 8. September 1916 in Graz - Wetzelsdorf ) was an Austrian wholesale merchant .
Life
Julius Pollack was initially employed in the administration of the Prussian railways and came to Trieste in 1861 . There he started as a businessman with a freight forwarding business and a wholesale company. Until 1910 he was a partner in the First Triester Industrielles Etablissement for water, gas and electrical lines Julius Pollack . He managed the company with his brother Ludwig and his son Humbert Pollack. Pollack was u. a. Vice-President of Adriatica Speditions-AG , kuk and imperial-German courier, censor of the Austro-Hungarian bank and from 1896 to 1899 honorary consul of Peru . In 1873 he was awarded the Prussian Crown Order , and in 1883 he was made a Knight of the Austrian Order of Franz Joseph .
