Julius Pommer

Julius Pommer (born October 25, 1853 in Riet , † March 15, 1928 in Cannstatt ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Julius Pommer, son of a Protestant pastor, studied criminal science at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen . In 1872 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Tübingen . In 1879 he passed the 1st and in 1880 the 2nd higher service examination. In 1882 he became a clerk at the Vaihingen Oberamt and was also a deputy, from 1887 a real clerk at the Neuenbürg Oberamt. In 1891 he became a clerk in the office of the government of the Danube District in Ulm and in 1892 he became a senior official at the Tettnang District Office . In the same year he was appointed Oberamtmann of the Oberamt Saulgau . From 1896 until his retirement in 1918, he was senior bailiff of the Esslingen District Office, where he was appointed to the government council in 1907, to the collegiate councilor in 1907 and to the senior government councilor in 1917.

Pommer had served in the Landwehr until 1892, most recently as a secondary lieutenant. He was a member of the board of the district charity association and the Württemberg state association for the Red Cross. From 1897 to 1899 he was a member of the Esslinger Zwölferkranz.
