Julius Schuster (lawyer)

Julius Schuster (born June 9, 1921 in Wiener Neustadt , † 1995 in Vienna ) was an Austrian lawyer . He was Austrian governor of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem .

Life

Julius Schuster was a doctor of law in Vienna and was in the Archabbey Church of St. Peter in Salzburg on 26./27. April 1958 invested in the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem . He was governor of the Austrian province from 1967 to 1990, supported by the Grand Priore Jakob Weinbacher , auxiliary bishop in Vienna, and from 1983 Abbot Primate Gebhard Koberger . Schuster founded the Innsbruck and Bregenz Commanderies. Together with Kurt Stögerer and Franz Eckert as well as the Archdiocese of Vienna, he was the initiator of the recovery of the Austrian Hospice to the Holy Family , a pilgrimage hostel of the Catholic Church of Austria founded in 1857 in Via Dolorosa in the old town of Jerusalem . He was appointed Kollar Knight and was honorary governor and member of the Grand Magisterium of the Roman order. Schuster was buried at the Pötzleinsdorfer Friedhof (group GR, number 9).
