Jungfernberg ( Danish Jomfrubjerg ) in the municipality of Glücksburg is an elevation in the middle of the town of Glücksburg, which is 25.4  m above sea level. NN has.

background

The Jungfernberg is located in the middle of Glücksburg on the northeastern edge of the Glücksburg Castle Forest . The survey was first mentioned in writing in 1779. The Jungfernberg was already marked and named on the map of the Prussian Land Survey from 1879. The naming is unclear. To the north and east, directly below the mountain, runs Paulinenallee, which leads further south to Collenburger Strasse, which in turn leads to the center of the village 400 meters away. To the east, directly across the Paulinenallee of the wooded Jungfernberg, lies the Friedeholz . On the southern edge of the mountain lies the Jungfernstieg road, which branches off from Collenburger Strasse. Several houses have been built along Paulinenallee, Collenburger Straße and Jungfernstieg since the beginning of the 20th century, for example the Villa Luisenquelle (Paulinenallee 14). The fjord slope areas at Meierwik and Sandwig and the fjord slope areas near Friedeholz are partly higher, but due to its separate valley floor location , the Jungfernberg looks much higher than the higher altitudes in the vicinity. The wooded Jungfernberg with the immediately surrounding forest area of about 19 hectares (on Paulinenallee, between Friedeholz and Sandwig) is often called Jungfernberg in its entirety today.
