Jungmaierhütte is a part of the municipality of Lindberg in the Regen district .

location

The hamlet is located in the Bavarian Forest on the road from Buchenau to Spiegelhütte . The spelling Jungmeierhütte is less common, but can even be found on the place name sign.

history

From around 1580 to 1640 a glassworks was in operation here, which Sebastian Jungmayr built before 1582. Brigitte Jungmaier, Adam Jungmaier's widow, sold it on November 20, 1640 with the entire Unterzwieselau glassworks estate acquired by Adam Jungmaier in 1604 . The buyer was her son-in-law Johann Preißler, the owner of the Oberzwieselau glassworks . In addition to the glassworks, Preißler also acquired the associated forests and the right to smelter, including inheritance justice. The building material (agriculture), on the other hand, was bought by the farmer Geiger from Lindberg.

In 1766 there were two in-houses and three barns in Jungmaierhütte. The houses were inhabited by three ash burners and their families. After the community was formed in 1818, the village initially belonged to the Frauenau community . Together with the Hilzenhütte (today's Buchenau), the Jungmaierhütte came to the municipality of Lindberg on June 30, 1828, due to a municipal change application by ministerial resolution.

In 1839 three in-houses are listed. In 1844 the place had 19 inhabitants. It was not until 1863 that Benedikt II von Poschinger bought the more than 343 days of meadows, fields and pastures from Georg Geiger for the Oberzwieselau estate for 42,000 guilders.

Jakob Weber was born in Jungmaierhütte in 1784. His daughter Theres was the mother of the Frauenau glass manufacturer Isidor Gistl .

The Jungmaierhütte offers a beautiful view of the Großer Falkenstein .
