history
From 1898 to 1901, the Zwiesel-Ost forestry office built a 53- acre plant garden on Kreuzstraßl , which after the start-up period was able to deliver up to 300,000 plants a year. It was later expanded to one hectare and 65 ares and received its own greenhouse.
The village created here is a young part of the community. In 1952, the name Kreuzstraßl was not officially approved. Georg Priehäußer set up a private collection in Kreuzstraßl, which later became part of the Zwiesel Forest Museum . Kreuzstraßl also became famous for the success of its ice runners . It forms a starting point for hikes to the Großer Falkenstein .
