Juntavi is a town in the Potosí department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Juntavi is the central place of the canton Juntavi in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Caripuyo in the province of Alonso de Ibáñez . The village is located at an altitude of 3378  m in the Cordillera Azanaques on the left, northern bank of the Río Caripuyo , which flows to the Río Chayanta and over the Río San Pedro to the Río Grande .

Juntavi is located in the northern foothills of the Bolivian Cordillera Central and has a distinct daytime climate, in which the mean temperature fluctuation during the day is more pronounced than during the year.

There it meets Ruta 6 , which leads via Uncía and Llallagua in a north-westerly direction to Oruro .
