Justice is a Franconian metal band.
Band history
The band was founded in 1988 by Roland Hauke (drums), Wolfgang Ott (bass), Stefan Leisner (guitar), Uli Friedel (guitar) and Uli Schmidt (vocals). Singer Hannes Holzmann, who later became known under the name of Hannes G. Laber in the band JBO , was hired to strengthen it. In order to be able to fully concentrate on JBO, he later left the band. Born in Scotland, Iain Finlay (drums) joined the band in the 1990s. He was previously u. a. active at Running Wild . The departures were replaced by Rami Ali (drums), Frank Graffstedt (guitar & vocals) and Michael 'Mitch' Schmitt (vocals).
The band initially celebrated regional success as a cover band and released some self-financed mini-albums that were reserved for regional audiences only. In 2002 Justice ventured to the general public with Hammer Of Justice , their first self-financed long player. The band then appeared in the line-up of the Wacken Open Air 2002. Justice also presented themselves at Summer Breeze 2003 and 2007, the Earthshaker Festival 2003–2007, the first edition of which was also the 15th anniversary celebration of Justice, or at the concert in Lichtenfels of Edguy's "Rocket Ride" tour large audience.
In 2004 there was the band's second album, The Descendant , in which the Franconians take up the Thrash Metal of their predecessor. In the summer of 2005, Uli Friedel left the band. Jörg 'Warthy' Wartmann from Bernburg (Saale) took his place .
On September 5th and 6th, 2008 the band celebrated their 20th anniversary in the music center in Trockau.
April 2010 it was announced that Rami Ali will leave the band. His successor has been the former Gamma Ray drummer Daniel Zimmermann since October 1, 2010 .
On October 2nd, 2018, the band celebrated their 30th anniversary in the Strohofer Event Center in Geiselwind. Guest musicians were Hannes Holzmann (JBO), Rami Ali (Iron Mask) and Jörg Wartmann.
