Justin Diraviam (born April 8, 1907 in Palakurichi , British India , † January 25, 1991 ) was Archbishop of Madurai .

Life

Justin Diraviam received on 6 April 1935, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On April 13, 1967, Pope Paul VI appointed him . to the Archbishop of Madurai. The Internuncio in British India, Archbishop James Robert Knox , donated him episcopal ordination on July 9 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Tiruchirappalli , James Mendonça , and the Archbishop Emeritus of Madurai, Jean Pierre Leonard SJ .

On December 3, 1984, Pope John Paul II accepted Justin Diraviam's resignation due to reasons of age.
