Justin Henry (born May 25, 1971 in Rye , New York ) is an American child actor and film actor .

Life

Justin Henry, who grew up in a middle-class family, was discovered in 1979 at the age of eight by his neighbor who was friends with a casting agent . This in turn helped Henry to a leading role in Robert Benton's drama Kramer versus Kramer . For this role he was nominated for an Oscar as the youngest actor to date . His performance was also recognized with two Golden Globe nominations and a Young Artist Award .

In the 1980s, Henry took part in some film dramas and comedies, but they never reached the level of notoriety Kramer versus Kramer . He attended Skidmore College from 1988 and did not appear again until 1996. He worked in two episodes of Emergency Room - Die Notaufnahme and 2001 in Crazy Love - Hopelessly in love with.

In 2005 Henry was voted number 80 of the “100 Greatest Child Stars” on a show on TV channel VH1 .
