Career

Club and college career

Justin Michel was born on August 28, 1995 as the son of Benno Michel, Account Manager at Maduro & Curiel's Bank on Bonaire, in Kralendijk, the capital of Bonaire. In his hometown he attended the Scholengemeenschap (SGB) Bonaire . At least in 2013 he was used for the local soccer club SV Uruguay in their men's team, which played in the Bonaire League , the island's highest soccer league. In May 2014 it was announced that Michel would appear on the men's soccer team at Southeastern Fire , the sports division of Southeastern University in Lakeland , Florida , starting this year . In his freshman year 2014, he made six championship appearances, after which his appearances decreased even further. In 2015, when the team won The Sun Conference , he was only in two games. In his following junior year, 2016, it was only one championship game. Under his coach Clay Roberts , who has been leading the men's soccer team at Southeastern University together with his younger brother Caleb since 2014, he was used in four championship games in the 2017 game year. The following spring of 2018, when he is no longer eligible to play, he will graduate from Southeastern University.

National team career

On June 1, 2014, just a few days after his move to the United States was announced, Michel made his debut for Bonaire under coach Ferdinand Bernabela , himself only a month in the office of national coach . In the game against the US Virgin Islands , which was part of the preliminary round of qualifying for the Caribbean Cup 2014 and ended in a 2-1 win for Bonaire, he came on the lawn in the 43rd minute of the game when Yurick Seinpaal was 2-0 and was Replaced by Naygel Coffie in the 90th minute when the score was 2-1 . For Bonaire, these were the first games since becoming an associate member of CONCACAF and the Caribbean Football Union on April 19, 2013; only a little over a year later, on June 10, 2014, was the team recognized as a full member by both organizations. Bonaire made it as the winner of Group 1 in the preliminary round to the subsequent first qualifying round, in which the team was eliminated from the current qualification as third in Group 3 (with continuous marking from the preliminary round). After his use in his debut game, no further international appearances are known of Michel.
