Justina's Juodaitis

Justinas Juodaitis (born November 22, 1899 in Pavilktiniai, Sintautai area , Šakiai district ; † February 3, 1969 in Kražiai ) was a Lithuanian Catholic clergyman, prelate , canon , martyr , Regens and professor of the Telšiai seminary .

Life

He was the son of Sister Petronėlė Juodaitienė of Bishop Justinas Staugaitis . From 1909 to 1913 he graduated from the Sintautai elementary school and studied at the Vilkaviškis grammar school , and graduated from the 5th grade in 1915 in Voronezh . He graduated from the seminary in Gižai and in 1923 was ordained a priest . In 1926 he graduated from the Faculty of Theology and Philosophy at the University of Lithuania in Kaunas. From 1926 he lived in Telšiai. From 1931 to 1933 he studied in Rome and received a doctorate in theology. From 1927 to 1931 and 1933 to 1946 he taught at the Telšiai seminary and was spiritual director, 1941-1943 inspector and from 1943 Regens . From 1946 to 1949 he was the administrator of the Telšiai diocese after Bishop Pranciškus Ramanauskas was arrested by the Soviet government. Justinas Juodaitis was deported to Siberia in 1949 .
