The former rural municipality of Kõlleste (Kõlleste vald) was located in southeast Estonia . It belonged to the Põlva County . Their area was 150.1 km². It had 1,022 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2016). Kõlleste has been part of the Kanepi rural community since 2017 .

Villages

In addition to the main town Krootuse , the municipality also included the villages of Häätaru , Ihamaru , Karaski , Karilatsi , Palutaja , Piigaste , Prangli , Tõdu , Tuulemäe , Veski and Voorepalu .
