The list of kings of Asturias includes the rulers of the medieval Kingdom of Asturias , from its establishment in the early 8th century to the early 10th century when it became part of the Kingdom of León .

Principality of Asturias
In 1388, King John I of Castile-León set up the Principality of Asturias to provide material for the Crown Prince . Since then, the Spanish heirs to the throne have carried the title " Prince of Asturias " ( Príncipe de Asturias ).
