Køge Kirke

Køge Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in the town of Køge on the island of Sjælland in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Ramsø Herred in what was then Københavns Amt (until 1808: Roskilde Amt ), then to Køge Kommune in the “new” Roskilde Amt , which became part of the “new” Køge Kommune in the wake of local government reform on January 1, 2007 Region Sjælland has risen.

Of the 37,754 inhabitants of Køge, 9,954 live in the parish of the same name (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Sankt Nicolai Kirke" is located in the parish.

Neighboring municipalities are Højelse Sogn in the north, Lellinge Sogn in the west and Boholte Sogn and Herfølge Sogn in the south-west .
