Bjæverskov Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the Danish island of Zealand . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Bjæverskov Herred in what was then Præstø Amt , then to Skovbo Municipality , which in turn became part of the enlarged Køge Municipality as part of the Sjælland region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .
On January 1, 2020, 5,133 people lived in the parish, 3,017 of them in Bjæverskov and 1,653 in Vemmedrup . The "Bjæverskov Kirke" lies on the territory of the municipality.
Neighboring municipalities are Nørre Dalby Sogn in the north, Ejby Sogn in the north-east, Lellinge Sogn in the east, Lidemark Sogn in the south-east, Vollerslev Sogn in the south, Gørslev Sogn in the south-west and west and Kimmerslev Sogn in the north-west .
