Ried is a parish village and part of the market Dinkelscherben in the Swabian district of Augsburg in Bavaria ( Germany ).
The hamlet of Kühbach also belongs to the district . Ried is located in Reischenau and is on federal highway 300 .
history
From 1862 to 1929 Ried belonged to the district office of Zusmarshausen and from 1929 to the district office of Augsburg , which from 1939 was called the district of Augsburg .
Ried with its district was an independent municipality and was incorporated into the Dinkelscherben market on May 1, 1978 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
The Catholic parish of the Assumption of Mary in Ried belongs to the deanery Augsburg-Land in the diocese of Augsburg . Kühbach also belongs to the parish. The church was built before 1500. At the end of the 17th and beginning of the 18th century, the nave was changed with the addition of side chapels on both sides (roof structure from 1725) and baroque; Of the works of the Landsberg sculptor Lorenz Luidl , only the Madonna in the high altar and the pulpit remained after 1850. From 1903 to 1905 the church got its baroque appearance back. From 2016 to 2018 extensive repairs and renovations took place.
