Kęsowo ( German Kensau , 1939–1945 Groß Kensau ) is a village in the powiat Tucholski of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . It is the seat of the rural community of the same name with around 4500 inhabitants.

history

In 1920, the city fell to Poland through the Treaty of Versailles with the district of the same name. After the attack on Poland in 1939 during World War II, Kensau was incorporated into the newly established district of Tuchel , province of Danzig-West Prussia in the administrative district of Bromberg , contrary to international law . Since 1945 the place has been part of Poland again.
