history

Silno station (2011)

The first section was opened on November 15, 1878, from Jablonowo (from 1903 Goßlershausen ) to Graudenz , located on the route from Thorn to Allenstein , followed a year later by the continuation to Laskowitz on the route from Bromberg to Dirschau . Between these two lines of the Royal Prussian Eastern Railway , a cross connection was created, the western continuation of which to Konitz on the Schneidemühl – Konitz line of the Prussian Eastern Railway was opened on August 15, 1883. In the east followed on November 1, 1888, the continuation from Jablonowo to Strasburg , on September 1, 1887 to Lautenburg and on October 1, 1887 to Soldau on the Deutsch Eylau – Warsaw route .

In 1909 the second track was opened between Graudenz and Laskowitz, which was followed around 1930 by the one from Graudenz / Grudziądz to Goßlershausen / Jabłonowo Pomorskie. Since 1920 the route had been in the Polish Corridor , which it almost completely crossed from west to east. The time under the Polish State Railways was only interrupted during the German occupation from 1939 to 1945 when the line was part of the Deutsche Reichsbahn . The second Lassewitz –Gosslershausen track was lost in 1945, the bridge at Leosia / Teufelstein was rebuilt and the route was somewhat re-routed.

On December 12, 2004, passenger traffic between Działdowo (Soldau) and Brodnica (Strasburg) was discontinued. Between 2007 and 2009 a pair of long-distance trains ran on this section, stopping in Działdowo, Lidzbark Miasto (Lautenburg City), Brodnica, Jabłonowo Pomorskie and Grudziądz. The section was closed on January 1, 2014. It is still listed in the route directory of the PKP Polskie Line Kolejowe , but with a maximum speed of 0 kilometers per hour . On June 12, 2016, the previously very scarce passenger traffic between Laskowice Pomorskie and Wierzchucin was also discontinued; a pair of trains currently runs here on Fridays and Sundays. The passenger transport is operated by Arriva RP .
