Claudia Linzer
Claudia Linzer (* 1979 in Lilienfeld ) is an Austrian film editor .
Life
Claudia Linzer grew up in St. Pölten , where she attended the Bundesrealgymnasium and Bundesoberstufenrealgymnasium with a focus on music. She then studied journalism and communication science with a focus on film theory, graduating in 2008 with a Mag. Phil. from. From 2005, she also attended the Film Academy of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, the editing course, which she completed in 2010 as a Bachelor of Arts . In 2018 she acquired the degree Mag.art. in the master’s course editing with the main subject teacher Michael Hudecek .
She has been working as an editor in the Austrian film industry since 2010 and has since worked with director Umut Dağ and director Barbara Eder , among others . For Thank You for Bombing (2015) she and Monika Willi were awarded the Editing Prize 2016 and the Austrian Film Prize 2017 . She worked with Elizabeth T. Spira and Wega Film from 2016 to 2019 on the ORF program Liebesg'schichten und Marriagessachen .
With a fever around the musher Horst Maas, she directed her first own film. Further directorial work was the final design of episodes 1 to 8 of the 23rd season of love stories and marriage matters after the death of Elizabeth T. Spira and the design of the 9th episode as well as the retrospective show Elizabeth T. Spira and her ‚love stories and marriage matters '- Forays through 23 years (together with the editorial staff Stefanie Speiser and Natalie Wimberger).
Claudia Linzer is a member of the Academy of Austrian Films and the European Film Academy , and has also been a board member of the Austrian Film Editing Association since 2014 . She is also a board member of the umbrella organization of Austrian filmmakers . She lives and works in Vienna .
