Kōsei Yamaguchi ( Japanese 山口 浩 勢 , Yamaguchi Kōsei; * August 19, 1991 ) is a Japanese obstacle runner .

Athletic career

Kōsei Yamaguchi gained his first international experience at the 2010 Junior World Championships in Moncton , where he finished twelfth in the final with 9: 00.87 min in the obstacle course. At the 2017 World Cross Country Championships in Kampala, he placed 73rd in 31:49 minutes and was fifth at the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar in 8: 58.58 minutes. The following year he took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time and finished ninth there in 8: 47.41 minutes. In September he was fifth at the Continental Cup in Ostrava . In 2019 he finished 80th at the World Cross Country Championships in Aarhus in 35:04 minutes and finished sixth at the Asian Championships in Doha in 8:47.07 minutes.
