Kōya Yuruki ( Japanese 汰 木 康 也 , Yuruki Kōya ; born July 3, 1995 in Yokohama , Kanagawa Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Kōya Yuruki learned to play football in the youth team of the Yokohama F. Marinos in Yokohama . He signed his first contract with Montedio Yamagata in 2014 . The club from Yamagata prefecture played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . From 2014 to 2015 he played 13 times in the J.League U-22 Selection . This team, which played in the third division, the J3 League , was made up of the best young players from the higher-class clubs. The team was founded with a view to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . The players were selected on a weekly basis from a pool for which each club was able to name talented individuals worth promoting; the composition of the team therefore varied greatly from game to game. At the end of 2014 he rose to the first division with the club. After only one year in the J1 League , the club had to return to the second division as 18th in the table at the end of 2015. For Montedio Yamagata he completed a total of 92 games and scored six goals. In 2019 he moved to the Urawa Red Diamonds . The Saitama club played in the first division.
