K-1 Engineering , previously K-1 Styling & Tuning Ltd. , is a Slovak manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Dick Kvetnansky founded the company in Bratislava in 1991 and began tuning vehicles. In 1999 the production of automobiles was added. The brand name is K-1 . The designer is Juray Mitro. In 2004 the name was changed to K-1 Engineering . The commercial agency K-1 Sportscars Benelux BV in Katwijk in the Netherlands has existed since 2006 . In the 2011, 2012 and 2013 model years car catalogs , the Dutch company is given as the main company and the Slovak company only as the production facility. The Czech company B-racing sro has been selling the vehicles in kit car form since 2011 .

Tuning

The company dealt on the one hand with vehicles from Lada , Škoda and Tatra , but also with sports cars such as Chevrolet Camaro , Pontiac Fiero , Opel Calibra and Koenig Competition.

Evoluzione

The first model under its own brand name was the Evoluzione , which appeared in 1999. This model later became the Evoluzione II .

Attack

This sports car, which is based on the Honda Accord , appeared in 2001. The engine is mounted in front of the rear axle in a mid-engine design. Instead of the Honda engines used initially, Ford engines now provide the drive.
