The steam locomotive "BUCEPHALUS" was a passenger locomotive of the KFNB . It was the third machine delivered to KFNB by the Tayleur & Co. locomotive factory in Warrington in 1839 and corresponded to the English types with axle formula  1A1 (cf. “ AUSTRIA ” and “ VINDOBONA ”). The cylinders were arranged under the smoke chamber and drove the cranked second axle.

In 1839 the "BUCEPHALUS" brought a court train from Gänserndorf to Vienna in 29 minutes . That results in an average speed of 62.5 km / h!

The "BUCEPHALUS" was retired in 1862 .
