Kacsóta is a Hungarian community in the county Szentlőrinc in Baranya .
Geographical location
Kacsóta is two kilometers west of the town of Szentlőrinc , on the small river Sándor-árok . Neighboring communities are Csonkamindszent , Nagypeterd , Nagyváty and Szentdénes .
history
There was already a settlement there at the time of the Árpáds . In 1375 the place was mentioned in writing under the name Kardosfalva . At that time, today's municipality consisted of the three villages Kardosfalva , Giróttfa and Boldogasszonyfa . In 1542 the place was mentioned under the name Kachota .

traffic
The main road no.6 runs through Kacsóta . There are bus connections to Szentlőrinc and Nagypeterd. The nearest train station is in Szentlőrinc.
