The Kahlenbergsköpfe are a fragmented natural subunit with the order number 334.34 of the Upper Arnsberg Forest ("Buchwald") (334.3) within the North Sauerland Oberland (334). According to the handbook of the natural spatial structure of Germany, they include 425 m above sea level. NN high mountain top Hirschberg, on which the Warsteiner town of Hirschberg is located, and the Kahlenbergsköpfe elevation connected to it via a narrow saddle neck to the east .
The elevation Kahlenbergsköpfe is 486 m above sea level. NN high, reforested cross back from Kulmkieselschiefern and -Kalken that the mantle of the Warsteiner saddle vault belongs. To the west a protrusion of the natural area around the Hirschberg town center is enclosed by the Hirschberger Blosse (334.33), in the north is the Heve-Möhne-Wald (334.31), in the east the Warsteiner Hügelland (334.4) and in the south the Plackweghöhe (Plackwald) ( 334.5).
