Kai Strauss
Kai Strauss (born May 15, 1970 in Lengerich (Westphalia) ) is a German blues musician , singer and guitarist.
Musical career
Kai Strauss is one of the small circle of European blues musicians who American colleagues and critics attest to have an authentic style. Musically raised in Germany's blues stronghold Osnabrück , Strauss toured Europe from 1995 to 2010 with the band The Bluescasters , which he founded, and the Texan singer and blues harp player Memo Gonzalez. Kai Strauss has been performing under his own name since 2010. Strauss' regular activities also include musical guest appearances on recordings or at concerts and tours by national and international artists such as B. Lurrie Bell (Chicago), Mike Wheeler (Chicago), Tony Vega (Houston), Big Daddy Wilson (Edenton, North Carolina), Matthew Skoller (Chicago), Christian Rannenberg (Germany) and others. v. a. In 2014 the guitarist and singer founded the formation Kai Strauss & The Electric Blues All-Stars and has released four CDs and one LP in his role as band leader to date. According to the specialist magazine Bluesnews , Kai Strauss is now one of the big names in the European blues scene. Five German Blues Awards, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019, magazine covers and concerts in over 20 countries are further key dates in Strauss' career.,
