Career

Ryan and Paul Lamb at the "Theresa May Brexit Blues", suitcase factory Fürth in April 2019

Paul Lamb became a blues enthusiast from a young age. His great role model was Sonny Terry , although there were enough blues harpists in England at the time. This also taught him to play the harmonica. At the age of 15 he played in clubs in his home country. Over time, he played with blues greats like Buddy Guy , Junior Wells and Brownie McGhee . In 1979 he founded his own band, Smokestack Lightning, which became Paul Lamb & The King Snakes through various line-up and renaming. His son Ryan "Junior" Lamb (* 1986) also plays in the band.
