Kai Tietje
Kai Tietje is a German conductor and arranger . He is musical director at the Komische Oper Berlin and the musical io senza te in Zurich . From 2012 to 2015 he was Kapellmeister and musical director of the musical division at the Landestheater Linz .
Life
Tietje completed an apprenticeship as a sound and visual engineer at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences and the Robert Schumann University of Düsseldorf (piano), which he graduated with a diploma in 1995. He graduated with honors from the “Conducting” course at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf.
In 2002 he received the Gelsenkirchen Theater Prize. Kai Tietje is married to the soprano Claudia Braun-Tietje ; his brother is the theater director Lars Tietje .

The Neue Musikzeitung wrote about the Spoliansky-Revue at the Komische Oper Berlin: "The musical mixture of 21 numbers from various revues, burlesque and sound films as well as Spoliansky's opera" Call Mr. Plim! "Has Kai Tietje wrapped in an airy, changing orchestral robe [.. .] " . The Opernhausblog Dortmund described Kai Tietje as "one of the few specialists in musical literature in Germany" . The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) saw him at the Bad Hersfeld Festival as a “gripping new conductor” . The Tagesspiegel certified that orchestra arrangements were “stylistically shimmering” . DER STANDARD wrote about his work at the Vienna Volksoper “With this production - from the wonderful opening credits to the fast run-through at the end - Lund and Tietje have succeeded in creating a total work of art that has been awarded at least fifty Oscars, Nestroys, Romys and the like.” And praises them “Famous arrangements by Tietje” . DIE WELT certified a "loving" orchestration.
