When in 1376 the Lords of Stein , who were still at the Niedersulzbürg Castle at that time , founded the monastery “Zum heiligen Grab” on Schlüpfelberg as a branch of the Benedictine monastery in Plankstetten , one of the foundations from their own property at “Ällmersdorf” was “2 Auen ent outside the Water and the Haid to the road that goes from Neumarkt to the Sandmühl, and to the path that goes down from the Purkhartsmühl. ”In 1403 the brothers Hans, Albrecht, Wilhelm and Wigalus von Wolfstein from Schweiker von Gundelfingen acquired the Niedersulzbürg Castle with their affiliations, including the hamlet of Ellmannsdorf; Due to their indebtedness, the Gundelfinger were forced to part with the castle, which they had taken over from the von Stein family. Before that, the Gundelfinger had pledged goods at Ellmannsdorf to Weypolt Rauscher in their financial shortage; In 1404 he ceded his rights to the brothers Hans and Wilhelm von Wolfstein, so that now all of Ellmannsdorf had become Wolfstein. After the Wolfsteiners died out in 1740, their ownership passed to the Bavarian Elector, in Ellmannsdorf ten estates of different sizes, a whole courtyard, a half courtyard, a quarter courtyard and three 1/16 and 1/32 courtyards. Around 1732, eight courtyards with the shepherd's house formed the village. At the end of the Old Kingdom , around 1800, Ellmannsdorf consisted of eleven estates; ten were under the electoral-Bavarian cabinet rule Sulzbürg , one of the also electoral monastery judge Seligenporten with box in Neumarkt.

In the new Kingdom of Bavaria (1806), the Sulzbürg tax district was formed around 1810/20 , to which Ellmannsdorf was assigned. With the municipality edict of 1818, this tax district became the municipality of Mühlhausen around 1820; Since then, Ellmannsdorf has belonged to Mühlhausen and, as a result of the regional reform in Bavaria, is now one of 24 officially designated parts of the municipality.
