Kai Vogel
Kai Vogel (full name Kai-Oliver Vogel ; born March 8, 1968 in Eutin ) is a German teacher and politician ( SPD ).
Life
Vogel passed the Abitur at the Friedrich-Schiller-Gymnasium in Preetz and did his basic military service . He studied German and economics / politics for the secondary school teacher at the educational science faculty of the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel and, after completing his legal clerkship in 1998, worked as a teacher first in Grömitz and then from 1999 in Wedel . In 2003 he became the deputy headmaster at the Klaus Groth School in Tornesch . He is married to a teacher and has a daughter and a son.
politics
The Barschel affair prompted him to join the SPD in 1989. From 1989 to 1990 he was the spokesman for the Jusos in Preetz and between 1990 and 1998 he held various functions in the SPD district committee in Plön . From 1992 to 2000 he also worked as an electoral district employee for the SPD state parliament member Ursula Kähler . Since 2008 he has been a member of the district executive committee of the SPD Pinneberg . In 2013 he took over the chairmanship of the SPD local association Pinneberg.
From 1990 to 1994 he was a member of the SPD parliamentary group in the city council of Preetz. After moving to Pinneberg , he has been a member of the SPD parliamentary group in the Pinneberg council since 2001 and councilor since 2011 .
In the early state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2012 , he ran for the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament in the Pinneberg constituency and received the direct mandate with 37.8 percent of the first votes.
In the state elections in 2017 , he was able to unite 36.9% of the votes and thus moved again as a directly elected member of the state parliament.
He is chairman of the committee for cooperation between the states of Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg, a member of the education committee and the economic committee of the state parliament and spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group on both school and transport policy.
