description

Vegetative characteristics

Kalanchoe luciae is a biennial , bare, small shrub that reaches heights of 50 to 250 centimeters and is covered in white floury. Its simple or branched shoots are upright, straight, and petiolate to square. The flat, bare or hairy, gray-green to yellowish green leaves are sessile. Your elongated, obovate, spatulate or circular leaf blade is 4 to 23 inches long and 2 to 15 inches wide. Their tip is rounded or blunt, the base rounded or truncated and half encompassing the stem. The red tinted leaf margin is entire.

Generative characteristics

The many-flowered inflorescence consists of dense thyrs or panicles and is 32 to 40 centimeters long. The upright flowers are on stems up to 1 millimeter long . Your calyx tube is 0.7 to 1.5 millimeters long. The lanceolate, pointed calyx lobes are 3 to 7 millimeters long and 2.2 to 4 millimeters wide. The corolla is pale yellowish green and sometimes floury. The angular urn-shaped corolla tube is 6 to 12 millimeters long. Their elongated, ovate-triangular blunt corolla lobes are suddenly bent back at their tip. They are 4 to 7 millimeters long and 2.5 to 3 millimeters wide. The stamens are attached near the upper quarter of the corolla tube and protrude from the flower. The anthers are 0.8 to 1 millimeter long. The oblong to square, edged or three-lobed nectar flakes have a length of 1 to 2 millimeters and are 2 to 2.5 millimeters wide. The carpel has a length of 7 to 11.5 millimeters. The stylus is 2.7 to 3.5 millimeters long.

The seeds reach a length of 1.3 to 1.5 millimeters.
