Kaldenhausen is a district in the Rheinhausen district of Duisburg . From 1927 to 1934 Kaldenhausen formed its own community in what was then the Moers district in the Prussian Rhine Province .

geography

Kaldenhausen forms the southern part of the Rumeln-Kaldenhausen district of Duisburg . The historical border to Rumeln , which is adjacent to the north and with which it is structurally closely integrated, was where today Düsseldorfer Straße in Kaldenhausen becomes Moerser Straße in Rumeln. history

Since the 19th century Kaldenhausen belonged to the rural community Hohenbudberg-Kaldenhausen in the mayor's office of Friemersheim, which initially belonged to the Krefeld district and from 1857 to the Moers district . The districts of Hohenbudberg and Hagschinkel of the Hohenbudberg-Kaldenhausen community were transferred to the town of Uerdingen on November 1, 1927 . The rest of the community continued to exist as Kaldenhausen in the Rheinhausen district . Most of the Kaldenhausen community was merged with Rumeln on June 1, 1934 and is now part of the Rumeln-Kaldenhausen district of Duisburg . Parts of the Kaldenhausen area in the area of the marshalling yard and the Hohenbudberg railway settlement came to the city of Rheinhausen and are now part of the Duisburg district of Friemersheim .
