Kalevi Juhani "Kalle" Vähäkylä (born June 25, 1940 in Salo ) is a former Finnish biathlete .

Kalevi Vähäkylä played his first international championship at the Biathlon World Championships in 1967 in Altenberg, where he finished 31st in the individual. The high point of his career was participating in the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble , where he was fifth in the relay race and ninth in the individual alongside Juhani Suutarinen , Heikki Flöjt and Arve Kinnari . With three errors he also achieved the ninth-best running time. Vähäkylä achieved the greatest success at the Biathlon World Championships in Zakopane in 1969 , where he won the bronze medal with Mauri Röppänen , Mauno Peltonen and Esko Marttinen as the starting runner of the relay behind the representations from the Soviet Union and Norway.
