Kali Hawk

Kali Hawk (born October 14, 1986 ) is an American actress , comedian and model .

life and career

Kali Hawk grew up as the daughter of a retailer at Barneys New York and a saleswoman at Bloomingdale’s in Manhattan . She was very gifted and attended high school when she was twelve. After graduating from high school, she attended the theater program at the State University of New York at Purchase , one of the locations of the State University of New York, for a year .

After a few appearances in plays on the Lower East Side , she moved to Los Angeles to focus on her modeling career. She has appeared in advertising campaigns for Kentucky Fried Chicken and MTV Europe and starred in various music videos, including videos by Rob Zombie and Usher . She played her first roles in 2006 in the films Where Is Love Waiting and Holla .

Hawk gained greater notoriety for her roles in All Inclusive , Men's Trip and Peeples, as well as for her role as Shelby in the sitcom New Girl .
