The Kaltenbrunnertalbach is a creek about six kilometers long in the central Palatinate Forest , its catchment area covers about 18 km². It is a right and southern tributary of the Speyerbach .

The Kaltenbrunnertalbach rises north of the Hüttenhohl pass on the west side of the Kalmit massif on the forest area of the city of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse and flows northeast. With its course first through the Finstertal , the Enggleisbach, which rises east below the Totenkopf pass , on the right, the Buchenbach from the Buchental, which rises below the Hahnenschritt pass , and on the left, the Hellerbach, which rises below the Hellerplatz, flows into the brook. After about two kilometers the stream flows through the clearing of the Woogwiesen. After about three kilometers, the stream feeds some fish whales. The Kaltenbrunnerhütte forest restaurant is located at Bischofsweier. This is where the Schöntalstrasse ends, which runs from Neustadt through the Kaltenbrunn valley along the stream. The brook finally flows into the Speyerbach in Neustadt on Wolfsburgstrasse.
