The Kaltenkirchener Bank eG is a cooperative bank in Schleswig-Holstein . Its headquarters are in Kaltenkirchen in the Segeberg district . Its business area includes the surrounding region as well as the municipalities of Hartenholm and Todesfelde , each of which has an office.

history

The former "Kaltenkirchener Spar- und Leihcasse" was founded in the parish of Kaltenkirchen on February 13, 1848. The legal structure of the Spar- und Leihcasse at that time resembled that of a cooperative. On January 10, 1899, the private savings bank “Kaltenkirchener Spar- und Leihcasse” became a cooperative: “Kaltenkirchener Spar- und Leihkasse, registered cooperative with unlimited liability”.

In 1949, today's property at Am Bahnhof 5 was purchased. Until then, the company had changing checkout locations.

On March 6, 1956, the company name was changed to “Savings and Loans Fund” (with unlimited liability = eGmuH). In 1961 the form of detention was changed to “savings and loan fund with limited liability”. In 1962 and 1970 the business premises were renovated and more than doubled by an extension. In 1979 the decision was made to build a new building, and the current bank building was created, which was expanded again in 1997 and 2008. In 1993 there was a change in management at Raiffeisenbank. Bank director Günter Hardekopf, who led the company for more than 31 years, retired and today's CEO, Johann Fuhlendorf, became the new bank director. Raiffeisenbank has been running its own real estate business since 1996. In July 2011, the real estate department was relocated to the new premises at Am Markt 2 .

In June 1998 the company merged with Raiffeisenbank Hartenholm and thus expanded its business area to include Hartenholm, Hasenmoor and Todesfelde, each with an office. On January 16, 1999, Raiffeisenbank eG Kaltenkirchen celebrated its 100th anniversary as a cooperative bank and its 150th anniversary. In 2009 the office in Hartenholm was rebuilt and modernized. In the same year, the death field office moved to the new premises in the town center. In 2017 the main office in Kaltenkirchen was rebuilt and modernized.

Raiffeisenbank eG Kaltenkirchen is on the one hand the oldest bank in town and on the other hand the only bank with its headquarters in Kaltenkirchen. As a sign of solidarity with their place, the general meeting decided in 2010 to change the name to “Kaltenkirchener Bank eG”.
