Kamenica ( Albanian also Kamenicë or Dardana / -ë , Serbian Косовска Каменица Kosovska Kamenica ) is a city in eastern Kosovo and the official seat of the municipality of the same name .
population
According to the results of the 2011 census, 7,331 people live in Kamenica proper, including 6,911 (94.27%) Albanians , 324 (4.42%) Serbs , 37 Roma and 29 Gorans .
Public facilities
Infrastructure
The overall situation of the infrastructure in Kamenica is judged to be poor. Many of the roads that connect the neighboring villages with the city are not paved . The city has a water supply and sewage network. The supply of electrical energy is not always guaranteed due to the poor national situation.
health
The primary health center is supplemented by 14 health houses, which are located in the larger villages. The health sector employs 125 people, 66 of whom are women and 59 men (2011), including doctors, nurses and support staff.
Culture
The number of mosques is 25, none of which was damaged in the war. The five existing Serbian Orthodox churches were also not damaged, four of which are in use.
