Kami Manns (born May 9, 1977 ) is a German director, actress , singer and dancer .

Life

Kami Manns began her career in sports when she was part of the national rhythmic gymnastics team in 1992 .

A greater level of awareness they gained for the first time in 1994 by a role in the ZDF - TV series Unser Lehrer Doktor Specht . A year later she became a rapper in the hip-hop formation Basis . After leaving the group in 1998, she attempted a solo career. Manns had their greatest success in 1999 when they recorded a cover version of the hit Sehnsucht together with Purple Schulz as Kami . It reached number 15 in the German single charts . However, the follow-up single Sieh mich an from 2000 was no longer a major success. After that, she focused again on acting. She attracted attention through roles in Rosa Roth with Iris Berben and in the thriller The Wannsee Murderer .

From 2003 to 2004 Manns also played theater in Magdeburg . From 2002 to 2004 she studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . From 2004 to 2007 she studied directing under the artistic direction of Anatoli Vassiliev at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Théâtre in France.

She works as a theater and opera director and works as an interpreting artist on a musical project.
