Kamilla Bartone (born June 7, 2002 in Riga ) is a Latvian tennis player .

Career

Bartone started playing tennis at the age of six and plays mostly ITF tournaments, in which she has not yet won a title.

At the junior singles of the Australian Open 2019 , she reached the quarter-finals, where she lost to the later winner Clara Tauson with 2: 6 and 3: 6. In the junior singles of the French Open 2019 she reached the round of 16, together with her partner Oxana Selechmetjewa the quarter-finals in the junior doubles as well as the final in the junior doubles at Wimbledon .

Bartone made her debut on the WTA Tour at the Baltic Open 2019 , where she started with a wildcard both in doubles and in qualifying for the main draw in singles . In the singles she was already defeated in the first qualifying round by Julia Grabher 6: 7 3 and 3: 6, in doubles with her partner Xenija Aljoschina with 2: 6 and 1: 6 to Sharon Fichman and Nina Stojanović . At the boso Ladies Open Hechingen 2019 she reached the second round with a victory over Carmen Schultheiß as a qualifier, where she lost to Tamara Korpatsch 3: 6 and 4: 6.

Bartone played in the 2nd tennis Bundesliga for the club on the Alster Hamburg in 2019 .
