The Kampa Publishing is a Swiss publishing house .

The Publisher

Kampa Verlag AG was founded by Daniel Kampa , who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors. The publisher went public with its first program in autumn 2018. The company headquarters are in Zurich ; a branch exists in Berlin (as of April 2019).

Before founding Kampa Verlag, Daniel Kampa (* 1970) worked for the Swiss Diogenes Verlag for 20 years (from 2005 to 2013 as a member of the management team), where he was responsible for Simenon's work . After that, Kampa was a publisher at Hoffmann und Campe (Hamburg) until mid-2017 .

Kampa Verlag publishes "contemporary German and international literature, modern classics and classics as well as an extensive crime list".

Kampa Verlag owns the rights to the complete works of Georges Simenon in the German-speaking area, which previously belonged to Diogenes. It is planned to present the complete works of Simenon - partly in new translations; In addition, German-language first publications by Simenon such as B. 2019 the title Maigret in the House of Unrest .

The publisher's first 40 titles appeared in early autumn 2018; In spring 2019, a further 38 titles were presented, including 18 "Simenons".

Some of the books published by Kampa appear in the sub-series Kampa Salon , where mainly conversations and interviews are published, or The Little Gatsby , Gatsby Originals , Gatsby Facsimile and Gift Book , under the indication "Gatsby Verlag".
