The Kampekalven ( Norwegian for cliff calf ) is a 2200 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the Orvinfjella it forms the northeastern end of the Filchner Mountains .
The first aerial photographs were taken during the German Antarctic Expedition (1938–1939) under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped it on the basis of measurements and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
