Canada is a small district of Münchenbernsdorf in the Greiz district in Thuringia .

Canada is a settlement on the edge of the forest between Kleinbernsdorf and Schöna . Canada is located on a northern slope on state road 1078 from Großsaara to Münchenbernsdorf. To the south are Bocka and Hundhaupten . The Schöna water reservoir is located not far northeast of the village.
history
Returnees built small wooden houses in the above-mentioned place in 1930. The people around said: It looks like Canada there . The settlement already had a name. There are currently eight houses on the edge of the forest that are inhabited by 21 people.
"Canada never had a place-name sign - until the summer of 1997. The Canadian embassy in Düsseldorf sponsored Canada's first place- entrance sign ."
