Shortly afterwards, she achieved her first top ten placement with the Japanese season in Lahti . In 2003 she won World Cup points for the first time in Hochfilzen as 23rd. She ran with the season in the cast Tomomi Ōtaka , Meguro, Tamami Tanaka and Ikuyo Tsukidate in sixteen. She had taken over from starting runner Ōtaka in last place, over two minutes behind the penultimate Romania, and with the best shooting result of her team - only two spare rounds - she was able to shorten the gap to around 40 seconds, in the end Japan was just ahead of Canada and Latvia. Since 2006 she has not competed in the World Cup or European races.

She is married to the biathlete Hironao Meguro .
