Red giant kangaroo

Protagonist of the film is the former tour guide Chris "Brolga" Barns (born 14 September 1972), which at Alice Springs in Australia's Northern Territory a Kangaroo Sanctuary founded called sanctuary for orphaned kangaroo boy and heads today. In the 36 hectare reserve he founded, there are around 20 orphans he found and fostered, most of whose dams were run over. A giant red kangaroo named Roger, found in 2006 at the age of four months, is the group's alpha animal .

The film was first broadcast by the BBC as a double episode of its documentary series Natural World, which has been running since 1983, on January 26 and February 2, 2013 (season 32, episode 7/8). The German version was first released under the original title on the Austrian ORF 2 on 18./25. It was broadcast in June 2013, in Germany the film was broadcast over four episodes by the ARD broadcasters under the title Der Kangaroo-Mann . The film will also be distributed on the RTL pay channel Geo Television and DVD. A one-hour sequel produced by the BBC in 2014 was also broadcast over two episodes in Germany.
